Learning Moments

I put just the learning moments together and will keep adding them:

Nov. 27: Learning Moment: Oh my gosh there have been so many lately!  Brains floating five feet above the ground and colliding at just the right moment, can do amazing things.

Nov. 22:  Learning Moment: What less meaningful things would I be doing today, or thankful for, or find important, if my life hadn’t been threatened by cancer?

Nov. 16:  Learning Moment: Learning Moment: Perspective is everything.  Look farther than the immediate trials to see where you want to be and it will help you get through them to the goal.  (Ok, so sometimes “one day at a time works, too!)

Nov. 7: Learning Moment: My life has been forever changed.  Sheryl Crow had breast cancer.

Oct. 29:  Learning moment: Spunk, style and a positive attitude can provide hope to people who follow.  Thank you to the lady in purple sitting next to me at chemo.

Oct. 16: Learning Moment: Being unafraid to say, “I have Breast Cancer” to anyone opens doors and opportunities to be a better me,  and provides the opportunities for others to help.  Remember the conversations on the plane to Raleigh?  2nd Learning Moment:  You can be completely exhausted and not be able to sleep–what’s up with that?

Oct. 12: Learning Moment: Learning how to do nothing is not easy.  Baseball is really fun.

Oct. 9: Learning Moment: Things are easier when your family is with you. Thanks Lisa

Oct. 8: First day of Chemo: Learning Moment: Being strong and positive doesn’t mean that you aren’t scared

Oct. 3:  Learning Moment: You don’t always get what you want, but you may have to get what you need.  The Susan Koman forums are WONDERFUL.  AND YouTube has some wonderful duet videos from lots of great singers.

Oct. 1:  Learning Moment: Even when you think you have your attitude together, it can all fall apart. Friends and family are very important to a good attitude.

Sept. 29: Learning Moment: Days of full strength and normalcy should not be spent worrying about days that will not be that way.

Sept. 25: Learning Moment: When you cry, your dog, your daughter, your husband and even strangers on a plane, can all hold you and it will be OK–if you let them.

Sept.  19: Learning Moment: People on airplanes are generally kind and will listen to our life history, if you feel the need to drive home the point that self checking ro BC is important   They will even take a photo of you on the plane!

Sept 15:  Learning Moment: When you get off on the wrong foot with someone, take the first opportunity you can to clear it up and let them know the context of the mis-step.  (Angel is a very sweet lady, btw)

Sept. 11: Learning Moment: There can never be too much information nor too many questions.  I’ll just keep asking until I understand.

Sept. 9: Learning Moment: (1) Even if it’s been years between communication, you still can hold love for your friends and them for you.  It can be a great and un-lonely world. (2) I love my husband and children and admire them more than I thought I could.

Sept.5: Learning Moment: I am so fortunate to have so MANY friends!!!!

Sept. 4:  Learning moment: You’d be so surprised to find out how many people you know have experience with breast cancer. I think the term epidemic fits.  AND  that you have to take control of your own treatment!
